It’s time to hit the road and create unforgettable experiences with friends and family! Keep reading to learn about our favorite road trips you can take from Henderson, TN.

Memphis, Tennessee

Memphis has enough attractions and sites to keep you busy for a month. It’s the birthplace of blues, is full of incredible blues and rock bars, and is home to the Rock ‘n’ Soul Museum. Memphis is also where you’ll find the famous estate owned by none other than Elvis Presley, known as Graceland. Also worth noting, Memphis is home to some of the best barbecue in the country. Be sure to stop into one (or two) of them and fuel up!

Little Rock, Arkansas

The state of Arkansas is just west of Memphis, and a trip to the capital, Little Rock, is one worth taking. Little Rock is set along the Arkansas River and offers a pleasant combination of picturesque landscape and fun in the city. Check out one of the beautiful parks during the day and enjoy some hiking along picturesque trails. If you’re staying the night, Little Rock has a buzzing nightlife with trendy bars and clubs. Just be sure not to drink and drive.

Jackson, Tennessee

Jackson is a quaint town not far from Memphis. It offers an array of cultural and historic attractions, and a lovely downtown area with cafes, restaurants, and boutiques. Be sure to check out the Railroad Museum which gives visitors a close-up look at the lives of the first settlers, and some insight into what life was like during the Civil War.

Wolf River, Tennessee

Wolf River is the perfect day trip for anyone looking to disconnect from the outside world and submerge themselves in nature. You’ll find an array of hiking trails that take you through gorgeous natural scenery. There is also an area known as the “Ghost River”, which is perfect for canoeing and Kayaking.

Nashville, Tennessee

A trip to Tennessee’s capital city had to make our list, and it won’t disappoint. It’s widely regarded as the birthplace of country music and not surprisingly, is home to the Country Music Hall of Fame. Nashville delivers a mix of country life and big city fun combined with some of the friendliest people in the country. Be sure to do some sightseeing in Centennial Park, before making your way into the city to enjoy some country music line dancing and delicious barbecue.

Murfreesboro, Tennessee

While it might not be the easiest place to pronounce, Murfreesboro is a history buffs dream come true. This small town is packed with monuments, museums, artifacts, and important historical sites that date back to the civil war. Be sure to check out Fortress Rosecrans and the Murfreesboro Discovery Center. And if you’re in the mood for some cold ones, Mayday Brewery has got you covered!
